Transcription: A longitudinal section through the brain reveals its main structures. Between the two cerebral hemispheres is the thalamus efulon, interbrain. Here both the thalamus controlling sensitive nerve paths for pain, touch, vision and hearing, and the hypothalamus regulating body temperature and controlling the vegetative nervous system are located. The so-called corpus callosum consisting of a fiber plate connects the two hemispheres hemispheres above the thalomancephalon.
